This land is owned by Hillingdon Council and had been an eye sore for years which is why in 2010 the Residents Association decided to do something about it.
This show's the site where the Northwood Hills first Christmas Tree was erected ahead of the Grand Switch on of the Lights by the Mayor at 4:00 pm on Saturday 27th December 2010.
The Council gave the Residents Association permission to use the site. The Residents Association spent £1,500 on underground electric cables, low voltage transformers, and the pit for the Christmas Tree. The Namaste Lounge paid £450 for the landscaping and futher ongoing maintenace.
In addition, St John's school agreed to sponsor the 16 foot high Christmas tree with the Namaste Lounge sponsoring the Christmas tree lights. Both for years to come.
We have achieved a permanent solution for the site which was a real eye sore.
