Road stewards

An Opportunity for you - read on to find out how you can:-

 Meet the neighbours

 Make new friends

Lightly exercise in local fresh air

Attend the annual street wardens get together

Take an active role in co-ordinating local issues

The Northwood Hills Residents Association depends on its survival by funds collected from the local residents. This task is carried out once a year by a number of volunteer "Road Stewards".

We are at present looking for some volunteer additional Road Stewards.  What does it involve:

The area that each Road Steward covers is dependant upon the individual.  Whether you cover 6 or 60 houses is entirely up to you. Each year you would be responsible for collecting the subscriptions and delivering two editions of 'The Hills Echo' in an area near where you live.  Simply call on these homes, explain who you are and collect the membership fee of £2.00. In most cases there is no need to explain about the residents association as many people are already established members.

All Road Stewards are entitled to receive copies of the committee meeting minutes, by e-mail. Road Stewards are entitled and encouraged to attend committee meetings, but have no voting power.

Road Stewards are needed in several roads.
We still have several roads not covered by a Road Steward.  If you have only enough time to cover, say 10 homes near you, PLEASE call Robert Symes on 01923 821201.  All you have to do is to collect the £2 annual fee and deliver our bi annual publication “The Echo”. Although we already have many members, we desperately need to increase our income to cover the annual £1000.00 cost of providing Christmas lights in Joel Street.

We need road steward in the following roads.
