1st Northwood Scout Group - Scout Hut, Northwood Way

Sat 18th May 2pm

Winter has certainly taken a while to subside and although many people may be wondering ‘when will summer arrive’ 1 Northwood Scout Group are pleased to announce that their Annual Grand Jumble Sale is just around the corner.
The sale has known to attract over a thousand bargain hunters who are looking for exceptionally high standard items all at reasonable prices so make sure you come along early.
So far the Scout Group has been donated a piano and a table football set which will be on sale at the event. A vast range of other items will be available to purchase and have all been sorted and tested by many volunteers. Why not come along and see what star items you can find.
Should you become thirsty or hungry whilst looking for a bargain you will be able to purchase a drink or snack from a variety of refreshments which will also be available on the day.
From Saturday 20 April, until the week before the jumble sale, donated goods can be brought to the Scout Hut any weekday evening except Friday, between 6.30pm and 8.30pm, and on Saturday afternoons between 2.00pm and 6.00pm. Unfortunately we are unable to accept white kitchen goods, beds or analogue TVs.
All proceeds raised from the event will go directly to the Scout Group to fund its regular running costs.
We hope to see you there.

A PEEP OVER THE GARDEN FENCE WITH MIDSUMMER GARDENS

Spread over the weekend of Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th June, the public will have the opportunity to see what is normally private when 20 local gardens kindly open their gates for charity.

Midsummer Gardens stretches from Hatch End, Pinner, Northwood, Moor Park, Ruislip, Eastcote across to Denham.

“Six are brand new to the event and one belongs to a Chelsea Gold Medal winner. There will be plant sales, traditional English afternoon teas, art and many more reasons to join us.” commented Warren Reeves, one of the event organisers.

Proceeds from ticket sales will be split between five local charities. Individual gardens will be raising further funds for charities or organisations of their choice. Tickets for the whole weekend are priced at £10.00 which includes entry into a prize draw. They will be on sale from Easter weekend. Available from Ducks Hill Garden Centre or by telephone to 01923 829977 or 01923 451616 or 01895 677925.
